Jon Huntsman is increasingly taking on the role of a guy who has no chance of becoming the Republican presidential nominee but is going to speak his mind about the clown car that the party has become as his wisp of a campaign flickers and dies out.
But Huntsman outdid himself today in praising Don Van Vliet aka Captain Beefheart (attention TMV commenter Rudi), a stage shy and obscure-by-choice rocker and writer of experimental music with a powerful voice who played harmonica, sax and wind instruments.
Said Huntsman:
“I’d have to say that I like Trout Mask Replica, which came out in ’68, all the way through Bat Chain Puller — I mean, they represent the diversity of Beefheart. I’m a fan of the really innovative spirit of Beefheart came with the Magic Band, and they really hit it off in ’68.”
Herman Cain will be the nominee. Huntsman, the Manchurian candidate will not. This is the real magic!
Give pizza a chance.
Allen:
Surely you jest. But if you don’t, this will be manna from heaven — with extra toppings — for the Democrats.
Let’s see if this works:
Only allows one at a time. hers another:
Only if shrooms come with the cosmic pizza. Trippin never killed the radio star…
