Biden’s Blunt Words To Voter About Impending Bush Veto
Senator Joe Biden is far more blunt when talking to a voter about Bush’s then-imending veto in this You Tube from an April 27 fish fry — outraged over troops not getting equipment that can save lives and predicting that Congress will come back after the veto and “shove it [the funding] down his throat.”

I wasn’t entirely sure what Biden meant, but according to the Washington Post, he wants Harry Reid to send the same bill back up again.

A similar game of chicken shut down the US government a decade ago. At least Biden is framing his storyline within the appropriate — “with every penny the troops need” — narrative.
Whether the storyline of politically disinterested patriotic Democrats interested solely in supporting the troops can be maintained in the face of a sceptical media is an interesting question. The Great Left Noise Machine is revving its engines, I am sure.
