Enter Rick Perry, Death Candidate

His debut on the debate scene elicited audience cheers for capital punishment, introducing a potential president more comfortable than any in memory with death as a solution to social problems.

Asked if he has “struggled to sleep” over execution of “234 death row inmates, more than any other governor in modern times,” Rick Perry says no, affirming his faith in “ultimate justice” despite a national trend away from capital punishment.

But the Texas Governor has to be given points for consistency. His policy positions on Social Security and health care would also thin out the population of the old, the poor and the sick, taking America back to the good old days of survival of the fittest–with the possible exception of fetuses, a subject that did not come up last night.

How far have we come from criticism of a recent Supreme Court nominee for having too much empathy to the rise of a Presidential candidate who appears never to have heard of it?

In most of his evasive answers for the first hour of debate, Perry made Bill Clinton’s “Slick Willie” act look like bumbling. But when asked about his view of Social Security as “a Ponzi scheme,” which other Republicans have criticized, the Governor stopped dodging.

“If Vice President Cheney or anyone else says that the program that we have in place today, and young people who are paying into that expect that program to be sound and for them to receive benefits when they reach retirement age, that is just a lie,” Perry said. “And I don’t care what anyone says.”

Mr. Stein you remain the very best.

I cannot understand how so many of us miss what you readily discover. They really are hypocrites dodging the social issue debate aren’t they?! Mostly anyway.

Now we have Romney and Perry. The used car salesman vs. the grim reaper.

In “his” book he also condemned Social Security as unconstitutional.

Our nation is quickly losing its direction, yes we have a problem with crime in every institution on the planet. We especialy have crime in the government and any time we have such a magnitude of crime in the government of a nation then we will see the crime go up in every respect. Crime starts at the top and works its way down. It’s hard to distinguish the criminals/crime on the street and from those who are makeing the laws. Yet the criminals in their suits and ties heighten the lust for bloodletting in order to frenzi the people in a shark like manner in order to pander votes from people who are unaware of the game being played on them. To sound righteous and pure they drag humanity down the street by the hair of its head. And in so doing they cultivate fear and chaos in the minds and hearts of the people. They love to excite the shark for vote getting. A lot of these politicians have no idea what they are doing. Humanity is attracted to every sort of anger and revenge and so the ploy used on a nation that is seemingly enjoying a loss of humanity will shout and clap for a person who will spur their fear and hate.Fear which is really all about loss of trust and faith is played upon by some of these politicals. This loss of trust and faith is FEAR and so death mongering political figures thrive on votes from an ignorant people who are not in touch with reality at all. However SOME of these ol’boys know exactly how to move a crowd and will skillfully exploite the unsuspecting. W

today we see every kind of image to do with evil. Including Mytic literature, every religous demonic portrayed in image and in written form, people caught up in outer space beings that are supposedly walking among us.People love the “End Of Time” garbage and coments collideing and all sorts of crazy insane interest. But no interest in helping the young have a decent start. No wonder the young are wondering they have no place to go and no purpose. and the chinese will be in the same capitalistic heap that we were left in. Hate mongering rethoric in every sphere, including the church, governmnets, special interest groups, gangs, advertiseing, political debates, we live in an ever increasing self serving corrupt mindset. People so blood thirsty and willing to change the world with their own brand of control and violence. Often in the name of justice brought about by the unjust in high places including governmental positions. Divisive people interested in tearing down races who will use absurd alligations to push forth a political agenda. We are losing our since of purpose and reason is far gone. Some Political will make a foolish statement and although it may be so fully absurd the gang and wagon riders will jump righ on with absolutly no personal attention to truth or reason. to view the bottom line in capitalism is all that is left for the whole nation. we put everything below the Dollars vested interest. we fight and quarle over common issues and make everything a political advantage or liability. Folks we need a good clean enviornment, justice system, government, tax system, and yes a decent national health care system. we need a system of news that is not paid and bought by the Corporations. (Ron Paul is finding out what the corporations will purchase to keep him down.)we need polititions who are not bought by Corporation money, and speaking of such the chinese now have a huge say in who gets elected because the corporations that they are in joint venture with americans are now part of the vote control. Our contry is different in spirit and the level of trust is gone. we now, since GW’s time we have seen the country put in dire straights financially and could not be repaired by Obama or any other majic. Obama is not responsible, we all are responsible and its time to quit politics for the party. but it is time to cure the hell that we have let happen. in the last years before 2008 yes thats right folks we seen this nation become corrupt at lighting speed. the market, banks and internal systems, church, and government all followed the leader to the bottom of the slime pit. eat the truth and chew it up good and then swallow it. we are what we eat indeed. we have been fed a lie and diversion is set in place on news stations to keep us all sidestracked. the big corporations pay for the narritive and we listen yessereee. no wonder people will never pay attention to the facts, it is because truth is so strange ain’t it.

I wish the moderators had asked Perry, in reply, whether he ever wonders whether the justice system in Texas has a perfect record convicting people.

“Governor Perry, has anyone ever been executed who was convicted on circumstantial evidence? How likely do you think it is that capital convictions in Texas are one hundred percent accurate?”
