Sarah Palin Documentary Fizzles: Going To Pay Per View

Despite some proclamations that the documentary about Sarah Palin was really a huge success in the face of some early reports that it was not pulling in a huge audience, it now turns out that it has fizzled rather than sizzled and is going to Pay Per View. Another Harry Potter or Captain America it wasn’t.

With its Sarah Palin documentary “The Undefeated” increasing its playdates by 40 percent this weekend, only to watch box office revenue decline by more than 63 percent, distributor Arc Entertainment announced Sunday that the film will soon be available on pay per view.
The movie played in 14 Tea Party-friendly locations this weekend — up from the 10 in which it opened last week — but grossed just $24,000.

“The Undefeated” sounds like it isn’t.

UPDATE: An after thought:

Maybe the Palin movie would have played better in theaters if it had been preceded by a Michele Bachmann animated cartoon.

Sara Palin made a movie and it was a bomb? Go figure.

Sarah will never sell herself short. This film is simply another publicity stunt to make Palin what she really wants…. not the presidency, but cold hard CASH. Palin is for $ale and is making it rich on your dime with every book, speaking engagement, and movie ticket that markets her image and sells her looks (it’s certainly not her choice of words which got her this far.) Check out this very scandalous portrait of her erotically rolling in the dough on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/06/ecstasy-of-sarah-palin_15.html

“The Undefeated” should already go in the records books for Most Ironic Film Title.
