I’m a subscriber to Palestinian Media Watch reports. PMW does great work exposing hate-filled PA propaganda. No matter what Palestinian leaders say publicly, Palestinian media seem to spread hatred and intolerance, and worship violence.

Well, when Germany occupied the Netherlands, most Dutch weren’t exactly friendly and tolerant, too, Mike…
No misunderstanding pls, I’m referring to the ongoing occupation since ’67, ok?
While I totaly agree with the general purpose and probably the findings of the group, I find their writing style confusing. It would be nice if they just had 3 sections of copy, first arabic, then the PA translation, then their own translation. This would be the most transparent way to go about it, and also be the most convincing to people ‘on the fence’ so to speak.
Also, stuff like this I think increases the potency of my idea we have argued about in the past to have western nations learn the languages of their immegrants. Such devious translations wouldn’t stand a chance.
Michael – The references you showed are very mild compared to what you can read and hear from the West Bank Settlers. For them and their educational system there is NO Palestine between the Jordan and the sea. IT”S ALL GREATER ISRAEL! Both sides of this conflict are guilty of many wrongdoings – why do you ONLY point out the Palestinians failings?
Sounds like they have alot in common with some of the radical callers on C-span they spread hatred, intolerance and they worship war.

No, this is organized spreading of hatred of a whole different order.
Our most venomous bloggers and commentators look like cute puppies by comparison.
The amazing thing about it is how many people still want to overcome and find a way to live in peace. Shortly befoe the war in Lebanon, I saw a documantary about a bilingual (Hebrew-Arabic) sxhool run for both Jewish and Palistinian children. It was working. I worry about that project and hope desperately it still continues.
This is what you get after 6 years of no peace talks. Yes, the hatred would be there anyway, but at least admit the wrongs committed by both sides Michael. The Palestinians have used terror as a tactic, and are hate-filled, but the Israeli government has turned a blind eye while Jewish settlers moved into the West Bank and nullified the Palestinians’ dream of a sovereign state. Its a complex situation, where neither side has kept its hands clean.
Less complex than you think and more complex than some people think Kim. Both sides have been wrong, but the majority of the blame is to be put on the PA.
And about this:
Now come the freak on. That’s a ridiculous comment.
MvdG- Your arguments are disappointing. Instead of just claiming I’m wrong- prove it. I find your post rather one-sided. Both factors that I mentioned- no peace talks for 6 years and Olmert’s blind eye towards Israeli settlements on the West Bank are impediments to peace and to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The settlements infuriate the Palestinians, just as acts of terror from Hamas infuriate the Israelis. Why don’t you try a more balanced approach, if you want to be a good journalist, instead of hyping only Israeli propaganda???
