The first official candidate for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination filed his papers last week.
And he’s openly gay. It is believed he is the first openly gay candidate for a major party nomination.
He’s a longshot (not because of his orientation but because he’s a relative unknown) but it is interesting that the first openly gay candidate filed with the GOP.
