I see. But where does that ‘B00ker’ problem in WordPress come from in the first place? Manually approving every comment including ‘B00ker’ can’t be the solution…
But you can write it with 00, just not with oo… I think. I don’t know about the filter Gray, I don’t know how it works and I do not know how to adjust it. I only know how to approve your comments.

When this first occurred, I thought that it might be that ‘b00ker’ is a reserved phrase, one of the commands that are used for formatting WordPress posts or something like that. But I searched their support site and found nothing. Mysterious…

So, looking at this list, I see that it’s tab00 to write about t33ns taking pax1l while sitting at a sl0tmachine in the casin0, even if the commenter isn’t using a t-0nline connection.
Quite ridiculous, imho. And afaik most software developers are using more advanced algorithms today to filter spam than simple word lists.
Michael, Joe, why not try and delete all spam words using this WordPress option? Let’s see if there will really be such a spam invasion without it! Seems to be no problem to reinsert the list, if necessary.

I dunno if deleting the list is such a great idea. I work with a nonprofit and our message forum software doesn’t have a filter- we’ve found it very time consuming to delete all of the spam that we get. Would be much easier if it was filtered and then someone could just approve non-spam messages that get caught up in the filter by mistake.
What about just posting the list of trigger words? That way people could use substitution characters if they want to use one or more of those words in their comment.
