Her name is Marizela “Mei” Perez. So young. Gone since Saturday, last seen on surveillance cameras in early afternoon. Numbers to contact directly with tips are below.
As a PI, I hope the lead investigator does not rule out following leads for foul play even though Marizela has been on anti-depressants for a long time.
Though the ‘usual profile’ for persons who go missing when they are teens or young adults and/or on medication for mental or mood variances is to think ‘run away’ or something having to do with their swinging hard to one side or the other in mood or thinking… it would be a grave error to think that because a person is on any kind of medication or in any kind of mental condition, that they cannot also be harmed by others. They can. Have been. Are. Thus, it’s a personal hope that all avenues can be followed.
Whatever is the cause of Marizela’s disappearance, we will continue to pray for her to be found safe and sound, and for her family, in this time, to be bolstered entirely in spirit, mind and heart.
A new picture of Marizela shows her arm tattoo, which says: “lahat ay magiging maayos” — a Tagalog saying for “all will be well.”
“All will be well.” We will hold that strong thought for Marizela and her family.
