AP: Venezuela Will Nationalize Telecoms and Power

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — President Hugo Chavez announced plans Monday to nationalize Venezuela’s electrical and telecommunications companies, pledging to create a socialist state in a bold move with echoes of Fidel Castro’s revolution in Cuba.
