What is real “professionalism?”
by Jordan Cooper
Professionalism is not about your dress……….Professionalism is mostly not about your appearance.
Professionalism is how well you do your job.
Professionalism is how good of a person you are.
Professionalism is about being prompt. Professionalism is about being responsive. Most of all, professionalism is about integrity.
Wearing a suit and tie doesn’t making you important. Wearing a wrap dress doesn’t make you special……Carrying a PPK handgun doesn’t make you accomplished…….
It is about presenting the best you and knowing that you represent your work. It is not based on anybody else.
As multi-million dollar businessman Sean Carter once said, “Don’t follow me youngin’ follow my moves, I’m not a role model. A bad influence I will have the world drinking gold bottles.”
We must be authentic to our persuasions.
Our interests should be to do what is best for ourselves, our families, our jobs, and our church. Some people’s works are useful only for a day, election cycle, or time period………Time will always tell if your impressions and works are good enough to outlast you.
Do your best to make your story outlive you.
