Here is a MUST VIEW for anyone interested in yesterday’s deal by moderates to head off the nuclear option in the Senate.
THIS LINK will take you to Crooks And Liars, the rapidly growing liberal video/commentary website, which will then give you a chance to see a VIDEO from a show on MSNBC’s Connected Coast-To-Coast this morning.
In it, you’ll see two bloggers, Crooks And Liar’s own John Amato and Powerline’s Paul Mirengoff, squaring off and talking about how the right/left views yesterday’s surprise agreement.
It’s a must view for several reasons. Both of the bloggers effectively communicate what each side of the blogosophere is saying. TMV also feels Amato scores higher because he puts his comments about what happened into a larger context and significance than just a political deal — by raising the often debated issue of theocracy.
It’s an excellent stand alone piece. FOOTNOTE: This differs greatly from the blog report yours truly gave a month ago (you know, the one that made TMV look like he was 6 feet tall and 210 lbs when he’s five foot two and 145 lbos?). This one focused on what each side of the political aisle was saying, versus zeroing in on a couple of issues and specific sites.
But, overall, bravo to MSNBC for continuing its blog segments despite some negative comments about them in the press, and bravo to Amato and Mirengoff for their lively takes on the Senate Deal. And bravo to Crooks & Liars for giving us a great (as usual) piece of high-quality video.
