TMV is pleased to announce the addition of yet another coblogger, Paul Silver.
Paul Silver is the quintessential centrist: he has a passion for strengthening the nation’s center, encouraging centrist candidates and for focusing on issue-oriented (versus demonization) politics — and you’ll note it in his posts. In fact, as is the case with more than half of the cobloggers on our masthead, Paul was invited because a) he was very interested and, most importantly, b) we were linking to him so much we couldn’t keep up with the good links of his and it’s a lot easier to set it up to let him just link to himself and write some original posts here.
And, indeed, Paul was true to his word: one of his first posts HERE garnered some 30 comments and reflects a meaty and serious discussion of politics.
Paul has his own blog Austin Centrist, which he’ll continue to “feed.” Plus he also coblogs at coblogger Justin Gardner’s fine centrist blog Donklephant. Normally TMV prefers cobloggers who aren’t coblogging elsewhere, but with the showing of the center in the last election and Paul’s interest in following and writing about centrism, plus the number of excellent posts that came to our attention the past few months, we put out the welcome mat.
You’ll also note that Paul tends to write posts a bit shorter than some of us here…which some readers may find refreshing. And as all of us who write here occasionally veer center-right and center-left, Paul will be a constant reminder to us about what centrism looks like when it’s planted firmly in the center.
