Greetings from Lansing, Michigan. Once again today we will likely see some posts from our great Guest Bloggers. (TMV personally thinks this site looks a lot BETTER with the addition of the guest perspectives given by people who truly know how to write).
Our posts may resume here today a bit more frequently after 12 noon EST. There are some things we kept on hold due to our all day-travel.
But this trip was highly interesting: for the first time ever, TMV travelled in a plane with Direct TV…so he could watch the politicos scurry from Congress amid the alarming penetration of airspace by the now (in)famous small Cessna. Live. In his airplane seat. Sipping a Dr. Pepper. Waiting for the line to shorten in front of the rest room (well, you didn’t have to know THAT).
This is definitely an improvement in air travel. For $5 you can watch more than 20 channels, including news channels, Court TV, the networks. Picture and sound quality: EXCELLENT. It made the trip go a lot faster — and even made the horrible air pocket we hit a bit more tolerable (there were only a few screams of terror, although TV viewing was interrupted on account of prayers).
In any event, check back often today because this site should have a lot of new posts on it, many of them pegged to breaking news.
And enjoy our Guest Bloggers (we do, but then we always have on their own sites).
