And McCaskill … what can I say? She’s from my home state. She was the first Democrat I ever voted for (in 2006). And while I voted for her on a largely single-issue basis (stem-cell research), I’ve been quite impressed with her reasoned, centrist approach and willingness to buck the party line on a number of issues, even when I’ve disagreed with her.
Granted, all have “cons” to balance their “pros,” but so do the likes of Jim Webb and others on Obama’s short list for the VP slot.
