What you missed this week in the world of Aaron Sorkin, the creator of HBO’s Newsroom. This week Mother Jones inferred that Aaron Sorkin said that the Huffington Post “sucked.” Mediaite reported that Aaron Sorkin told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews that he had not used the word “suck” to categorize Huffington Post reporting. This led Politico to summarize that Aaron Sorkin had slammed Mother Jones for inferring that he said the Huffington Post “sucked.” Variety reported that Aaron Sorkin’s critique of the Huffington Post did not suck. Although the word “suck” was not used in the Variety post, it best summarize the quality of this week’s Aaron Sorkin news cycle. To my knowledge, the Huffington Post has not yet confirmed nor denied that they “suck.” This is the point in my post where I apologize to my mother.
Oh yeah, and this week Aaron Sorkin also received the very prestigious Fairly Spiritual Award, which does not suck…at all.
