For Christians today is a day of reflection, remembering the sacrifice of Friday while we await the victory of Sunday. As much as we do mourn the loss of yesterday we do so knowing Sunday will come.
I have long thought that Stuck On Saturday would be a good title for a book and I can’t help wondering today how many of us are always Stuck on Saturday ?
Not so much in a spiritual sense but in a mental one.
How many of us remain focused on the losses or mistakes of the past rather than moving on to the promise and the hope of the future ?
How many of us have been promising ourselves that we will make that change, forgive that friend, forgive ourselves for those problems or mistakes of the past ?
Regardless of your faith I think this weekend is a great time to make that step, to move from the past and into the future.
