Jessica Schneider is editor at Monsters and Critics (section books), where she recently started a book club. This month’s pick is Native Son by Richard Wright. Native Son is one of those books everyone should have read. If you have not done so yet, be sure to do so this month.
More importantly though, you can also send questions about the book to Jessica. She will then select the best questions and… the people who asked / sent them will receive a free copy of the book.
Of course, this also means that those who have already read Native Son can receive a book as well – so; if you have already read it, and got a good analytical question about it, send it to Jessica and receive a completely new copy of Wright’s great book.
So here are the steps you need to take:
- you have to read Native Son; an absolute classic
- you can do so by trying to answer Jessica’s questions as to understand the story better (purely voluntarily, no need to answer them in order to win the book) you receive a free copy of the book (suggestion; don’t buy the book, go to the local library if you want to compete)
- you think of a question of your own and e-mail it to Jessica
- you get a free book (if selected)
The rewards:
- you will have read one of the best books American literature has brought forth
- you will have read one of the best books American literature has brought forth
- you will have read one of the best books American literature has brought forth
- you will get a free copy of one of the best books American literature has brought forth
- you will have read one of the best books American literature has brought forth
Don’t wait; join the bookclub!
