I will speak up and speak out for Hillary Clinton, not because she needs me to speak, but because I cannot remain silent. Regardless of what Hillary Clinton does, she is criticized and scrutinized in ways that male candidates are not. She must “dot all her “i”s and cross all her “t”s” or be condemned for not doing so. Then when she does “dot all her “i”s and cross all her “t”s”, she is chided for only doing so because she has to, not because she wants to or of doing so merely because that’s the politically correct thing to do.
Anyone can make any negative statement about Hillary regardless of whether the statement is factually correct. But Hillary cannot say anything negative about any other candidate even if what she says is factually correct. Neither, for that matter, can any of Hillary’s supporters say anything negative either. We are routinely criticized for defending Hillary Clinton. We women are often dismissed as just women who are supporting a woman. Or blindly following Hillary Clinton despite the lengthy list of reasons why we should have abandoned her long ago. We are seldom given credit for actually being intelligent or, for that matter, having more than a passing knowledge of how government works.
Hillary Clinton has withstood all the attacks, misinformation and lies. The criticisms come not only from political rivals but even the press who before she declares herself a candidate heap on the praise but once she runs heap on the negatives.
I’m standing with Hillary. I’m speaking up and speaking out loudly. I will no longer remain silent nor will I be silenced regardless of what anyone says to me and/or about me.
