Those who have been contributors to and readers at The Moderate Voice for more than two years fondly remember Ron Beasley, “Veteran, Engineer, Photographer and Moderate Voice Assistant Editor,” as described by Joe Gandelman in a eulogy to Ron when he passed away at age 69.
Joe also mentioned what a great photographer Ron was and how he had encouraged Ron to start posting his wonderful photography when Ron expressed “an increasing disinterest in our increasingly toxic political scene…”
We all enjoyed Ron’s photography and his departure left a hole in that department, in my opinion.
Trying to fill that hole, about a year ago I posted a photograph of a Texas sunset (below) taken by my grandson who — at a very young age — has become an outstanding photographer “even if I say so myself.”
He is presently vising gorgeous Banff, Canada’s first national park “spanning a region of unparalleled majestic mountains scenery”
It will be very difficult to replace our friend Ron Beasley.
Just wanted to share these with you and hopefully add to what I hope is already a great weekend for you.

The lead photo and the one below were taken at sunrise in Banff.
The next two were taken by our grandson during a recent visit to Italy.
