Some of you may remember my “Miers Withdrawal Watch” series at The Reaction. If not, the name more or less speaks for itself. It was a five-part series looking at reactions to the Miers nomination from around the blogosphere and, to a lesser extent, the MSM.
Part 5, with links to the previous 4, is here.
In the end, as you all know, Miers withdrew, meaning that my watch was not in vain.

Well, now I’d like to introduce you to another ongoing series at The Reaction:
Scalitovision 2005
And here — for your amusement, enjoyment, and edification — is Part 1. I’ll post Part 2 in a bit.
As with the Miers Withdrawal Watch, I take a look at reaction to the Alito (a.k.a., Scalito, rightly or wrongly) nomination from around the blogosphere and add my own commentary and analysis. It may not surprise some of you that I’m not terribly happy with Alito, but nor am I necessarily opposed to his nomination.
I hesitate to place myself on the political spectrum, but I suppose I’m generally on the center-left (in American terms), a moderate liberal (or liberal moderate). But with Scalitovision I try to be open to all sides and to focus on the best voices from around the blogosphere. This means that I’ll look at the likes of Kevin Drum and Stephen Bainbridge, Steve Clemons and Eugene Volokh. And so many more.
I hope you like it.
Keep checking back both here and at The Reaction for updates.
