“Captain” Ed Morrissey live blogged a speech by Norm Coleman at the University of Minnesota about renewable energy (and more), at Heading Right.
It’s an interesting topic, one, I am afraid to admit, I do not know that much about. All I ‘know’ is that the West has to become less dependent on countries in the Middle East: we have to find our own energy resources. The means / knowledge are / is out there, generally, it seems to me that we only truly have to dedicate ourselves to using / exploiting them.
The strange thing is that progressives, centrists and conservatives all seem to agree on this matter, yet, not nearly enough is being done. At least not in the US and not in the Netherlands. The West has, as far as I am concerned, unite on this issue: we have to help each other. I’d rather be dependent on American knowledge, resources and innovation than on, say, Iran and the so-called Big Oil.
