I haven’t posted much here at The Moderate Voice in the past two weeks because I have been in the process of moving from France to the United States, cutting short my expatriate assignment due to family reasons. During one of my final days in Grenoble, I had dinner with colleagues who had become friends, and afterwards I walked around town at midnight taking a large number of photos.
I posted those photos at my weblog Random Fate on a time delay so they would appear during the period when I was out of touch. I have received several positive comments and email messages discussing the photos, and it was suggested that the readers here might be interested in seeing the images. The posts are:
112 photos

Photo 4 of the 112 I took late on a snowy night in Grenoble
Photo 5 of my 112 picture taking marathon around midnight during a snow in Grenoble
Photo 6 of the infamous 112 picture midnight marathon in a snowy Grenoble
Photo number 7 of the series of a snowy midnight in Grenoble
Numbers 8 and 9 in the series taken from the 112 photos of a snowy midnight in Grenoble
Hopefully this will serve as a brief distraction from the politics of the day.
