I was encouraged the other day when President Obama said that everything that had to be said about the health care reform measure now before Congress had been said, and there was now no longer a reason to delay a vote. A few day later, however, congressional Democrats announced a vote may not come this month.
Enough! I say. Enough! most Americans agree. Vote, damn it!
Members of Congress who think the present health care system doesn’t need big reform, vote no. Otherwise, vote yes on the present bill.
Members who think starting all over on the reform process will actually get meaningful reform any time soon vote no. Otherwise vote yes.
Democrats in Congress who think dragging this out longer will help their party in the upcoming election vote no, and hope something better is presented by the party this year. Otherwise vote yes.
Vote on this. Move on to other things. I’m sick of seeing the prima donna of the week get his/her 15 minutes of national attention by demanding something new on health care. You got a constituency that requires that you vote no, you have a personal conviction so strong it won’t allow compromise, vote no, then disappear from view.
Enough! —- Or Get off the pot!
