Those who read my postings know that I am not a fan of either Rush Limbaugh or Keith Olbermann and I often am critical of the crap they spew from opposite ends of the political spectrum. I’m also not a very big NFL fan so I really don’t care who owns what team.
But I have been bothered by the recent controversy where people said that Rush should not be allowed to buy a team because of his political views. I may not like Rush but he has a right to his views and I support anyone who says the same, even if I disagree with them.
Given his usual disdain for anyone who disagrees with him I was thus quite surprised to find none other than Keith Olbermann defending Rush and criticizing those who opposed him as a potential NFL owner. Give credit where credit is due, in this case he took the high road, supressed his personal distaste for Rush and stood up for what is right.
Good for you Keith.
By contrast, while I am usually a fan of Chris Matthews I was distressed to see his program where he not only cheered the news that Rush had been removed from the buyers group but gleefully spent a considerable time attacking him for everything he’d ever said.
Even worse, while condemning Rush for being ‘divisive and racist’ he brought on a guest….. Al Sharpton.
Condemning racism while having Sharpton as your guest in the segment ?
Shame on you Chris.
