We used to be at Typepad and (we are pleased to say) moved to Powerblogs this spring. We have just been informed and have confirmed that if you click on any links to our OLD Typepad posts they will take you to an audiobooks page. So Typepad sold my previous domain name there to someone selling Audiobooks. The audio books have nothing at all to do with The Moderate Voice.
That’s perfectly legal. But if you have friends who have visited TMV explain to them that we are still here and our permanent domain name is now www.themoderatevoice.com (actually, tell all your friends who don’t know about TMV about TMV).
We have to say we’re a bit surprised the our same domain name was sold by Typepad to someone selling Audiobooks…but that is their right –just as it is our right to say that this makes us breathe a massive sigh of relief that we are no longer associated with Typepad.
FOOTNOTE: We ended our Typepad account a few months after going to Powerblogs. Our archives were transferred by Powerblogs’ Chris Lansdown to this site. If you clicked on a link to the old Typepad posts via Google after our move it would say there was no site. Only new Powerblog posts were available once Typepad deleted the site (the old archived ones aren’t in the Google system). But, as we can see, Typepad sold the name…and if you visit it you’ll see it has nothing whatsover to do with TMV…which is their legal right. Just as it’s our right to raise our eyebrows and be thankful we’re at Powerblogs.
