We’ve had some requests for more You Tube Elvis after running the clip of Elvis and Sinatra doing a duet on TV in the 1950s on Sinatra’s TV show. SO:
First, watch Elvis do the song below. He did it on his 1968 “comeback” special and did it despite the preferences of his manager Col. Tom Parker. It’s a song with a point put into his special in the aftermath of the assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. Listen and feel his passion.
Next, fast forward 9 years later and watch Elvis literally at the end — in a clip showing him do a song in his last TV special. Quite different in appearance but still giving his all:
