Some now say Mel Gibson is a victim of the evil you-know-what (who one of our commentors said is run by the you-know-whos which might be news to this guy and others).
The Gibson-related link above reads like a member of a (political and financial strata) team supporting another member of “his” team…and his team-mate supporting his team mate. (To those who feel this doesn’t explain the link enough because this is not a long post, just read the original link again).
FYI, the rich, powerful and celebrated get extra scrutiny because they are held up to society and become role models in varying degrees. This does not mean they are perfect — but it doesn’t mean they get a pass even though friends of theirs believe the best defense of their friends is a good offense. There ARE points where media coverage is unwarranted and truly out of control; given what was said to the arresting officer here, and the original inaccurate statement from an authority that Gibson was arrested “without incident”, this has not been one of them.
