Just a quick reminder. I pastor Evergreen Foursquare Church in Auburn, Washington. In about an hour we will start our service. Depending upon how long I preach, the service will last from 10 am to 11:30 am. Our service, like most services around the country, will look nothing like what we’ve seen in the media over the past few months.
No Glenn Beck stuff, no ground zero mosque stuff, no threats to burn books of any kind. Instead we will gather together to sing some worship songs, pray, read the Scripture, and learn about God.
Just wanted to remind you that what you see in the news or read on the internet no more represents my faith than it does your faith. So if you want to know the real thing, visit your local church, synagogue, mosque, or Starbucks and discover the reality of what most people believe and do. It will probably ruin the narrative of your postings, but it will feed your soul.
Peace,
Pastor Doug Bursch
