If you’re new to the site, you may be one of the readers emailing us asking why we link to weblogs on the right and left. Readers on the left get mad sometimes if we link to a weblog on the right. Readers on the right get mad if we link to a weblog on the left.
We also get questions (including one tonight) about why we don’t answer things written about TMV on other weblogs. So to restate it:
This site was started to look at, cover and discuss issues from an independent viewpoint, which does NOT mean we don’t take positions (TMV decides and votes in every single election). Our blogroll is a WORKING blogroll that is used extensively. It contains weblogs of all ideologies. We politely decline to link to only one viewpoint and TMV is personally uninterested in being sucked into blogwars. This site wasn’t started to critique bloggers, question their motives or name call.
You’ll note that in our roundups on major stories we include many different viewpoints and do not denigrate the opposing ideas in the excerpts from other blogs that we offer to readers. (Co-bloggers on this site may have a different view from time to time).
