In 1998, Homer and his family were able to eat airplane food without ever leaving the ground by eating at Up, Up And Buffet!, which was a passenger airplane converted into a restaurant. In 2002, a Boeing KC-97 was put into use as The Airplane Restaurant in Colorado Springs.
