Nos Journaal reports (Dutch), that bombs exploded in the New Delhi (India) – Lahore (Pakistan) train: 66 people have died.
After the bombs exploded, the train caught fire. Passengers were trapped. They could go nowhere.
Indian police found suitcases with homemade explosives in them in the train. The idea behind the explosives was not to kill many people immediately, but to cause a fire.
For those who prefer English, go here (the BBC).
The train is called “Friendship Express”:
The twice-weekly service from the Indian capital to Lahore was restarted in 2004 after a two-year gap as part of the peace process between the two countries.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families.
