Another poetic gem from TMV’s favorite poet, Michael Silverstein, aka Wall street Poet:
A Republican’s Plea To The New
Democratic Majority In CongressPlease don’t do onto us,
What we done unto you;
That would be so unkind,
Such a nasty thing to do.You’ll end up feeling bad,
Unless you treat us better;
Forget our own past ways,
Let’s hug and work together.We thought it wouldn’t end,
We had it really figured;
Rove led us to believe
The system was well jiggeredThe gavel seemed our right,
We knew no compromise;
Oh sure, we played the schmuck,
But hey, you’re nicer guysSo here’s what we propose,
Though we’re a few votes short;
Give us an equal voice,
What’s the problem, be a sport.
