We’ve Seen This Before

By now, we all know that Senator Larry “I am so not gay” Craig has decided to reconsider his resignation from the Senate. He seems determined to believe that despite the fact that documented (on video & audio) instances of suspicion of his homosexual or bisexual behavior have been going on since 1982, he is being railroaded and can convince the world that he didn’t do what the cops are saying he did. Oh and I forgot, HE CONFESSED so there is no need for that “innocent until guilty” argument the losing side always tries to throw out there.
First, let me say again I don’t care if he is gay or bisexual. Like I said, we all have to roll how we roll. This may be a problem for his wife, but that’s between the two of them. I, like most people, am just sick of the lying and hypocrisy. Of course I can’t be certain, but I’m inclined to believe that if you’re hearing the same rumors about someone for more than 25 years, it’s probably true. Oh and also, HE CONFESSED.
If he officially retracts his resignation, it would be pure hubris and we’ve seen this before. Remember when it came out that Reverend Jesse Jackson had a baby with a mistress? We also found out that he had the nerve to bring his pregnant mistress to Washington, D.C. with him while he was “counseling” President Clinton & Hillary on their marriage after the Monica mess? When it all came out, everyone pointed to the hypocrisy of a man who is supposed to be advocate for marriage and moral behavior just like they are in this case. Initially, Reverend Baby Daddy said he was going to step down from PUSH and his other public duties and take some time out in response to his mistakes. That lasted about one week and a half before he changed his mind, he says in response to his supporters urging him to come back into the spotlight. Bull. Hubris is defined as excessive pride and arrogance. It’s either that or he’s just delusional. We’ve seen this before, and if politics is what it always has been, we’ll see it again.
