Birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, this has been one of the key states in recent Presidential races. The state was once a GOP bastion, shifted to the Democrats, then to a swing state.
President: Pennsylvania is going to be a key battleground in 2008 and the latest polls continue to show a close race though one that is likely up to the Democrats to lose.

House: Republicans currently hold 8 seats and are likely to retain them while the Democrats appear to be safe in 9 of their 11 seats.
In the 4th District incumbent Jason Altimire (D) is in a rematch with former Rep Melissa Hart (R). Altmire rode the 2006 Democratic sweep to a 4 point victory and unless he makes a mistake between now and November he will probably hold on.
This is another of the districts that has been trending to the Democrats and this gives Altmire an edge

In the 10th District freshman Chris Carney (D) is facing businessman Chris Hackett. Carney won this seat by a 6 point margin in 2006 and has worked hard to secure himself with voters. I expect the GOP to target the seat but, once again, incumbency is a major benefit and, absent a GOP trend, Carney is going to have an advantage
