A round up of recent reporting and commentary by a few centrist, moderate, and independent bloggers.
Dick Cheney gave an interview recently, while resisting on anonymity. Libby Spencer ain’t down with that.
Tully reacts to what he calls Gore’s “stunningly blatant hypocrisy”. PatHMV meanwhile spends some attention to the question: are bloggers responsible for their commenters?
Dean Esmay has had enough with (perceived) intolerance and introduces a litmus test. Two contributors, Ron Coleman and Kevin Dombrowski ‘fail’ the test and have decided to leave immediately.
Even his wife revolts.

An interesting post at The Daily Dish. Andrew Sullivan quotes John Derbyshire. Andrew comments: “I find Derbyshire’s easy acquiescence in the uglier parts of human nature pretty depressing. But acknowledging the uglier parts of human nature – and not pretending we can ever abolish them – is the beginning of political wisdom. In some ways, the first paragraph below is a very good summary of what one might call empirical conservatism. In brief: deal with reality.”
Sam Waterston at The Politico on Unity08’s potential (h/t Jeremy Dibbell).
