The top of the American judiciary is set to make a decision on the issue.
I wonder – if the Church-State boundaries are upheld, will the Justices suddenly be Activist Judges?

Strangely enough, the U.N. refused to even apply the term “genocide” in their latest briefing, reports CNN:
The United States described the Sudanese Darfur campaign as “genocide,” but the United Nations has shied away from using the term, which compels specific reactions under international law.
Genocide is legally defined by international conventions as the “intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.”

I frequently visit Jim Peacock’s edu-blog Zero Intelligence, where he focuses an alert eye on the follies of schools’ disciplinary policies (the site is named after Zero Tolerance discipline).
Kudos to Jim for having the courage to create a site with such a tightly-knit topic of discussion… and to enjoy such success with it!
