Footing Hillary’s Bill

Given previous events surrounding Geraldine Ferraro earlier in the campaign, I somehow thought we wouldn’t be hearing any more from her. But she surfaced again this week with a new plan for Senator Clinton and her nearly $20 million dollar campaign debt.
Geraldine Ferraro has a plan for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) to recoup her sizable campaign debt: Have Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) fundraisers pick up the tab.
After a long primary season, the Clinton campaign’s expenditures have far exceeded the amount of donations it has received so far, and the campaign has accumulated debt of more than $19 million, according to campaign finance reports. Much of that debt consists of unpaid salaries and bills to vendors.
When Hillary Clinton gave her non-concession speech on Tuesday night, she took a moment to slip into third person speech and asked, “What does Hillary want?” More and more reports are accumulating which indicate that Hillary may have known exactly what pound of flesh she expects in return for her gracious party loyalty and sincere efforts to bring her army of voters into the Obama camp. It would seem that she wants Obama to name her as the vice president and to pay off all the bills she ran up in her own run.
I wonder if perhaps she would like Obama Girl to stop by every week to give her a pedicure as well?
