America Swallows Prime Minister Singh’s ‘Lies’ on Kashmir: The Frontier Post, Pakistan

The battle for Kashmir: While it remains one of the most enigmatic and misunderstood conflicts on the planet, it is also one of the most dangerous and unpredictable – and a major threat to the battle against al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

This editorial from Pakistan’s Frontier Post, a newspaper published near the Afghan border in Quetta, shows that while people were all smiles last evening at the White House state dinner in honor of India, grimaces and frowns seem to have predominated in Pakistan.

According to this editorial from the Frontier post, while CIA chief Leon Panetta and Indian intelligence have been engaged in a “joint venture to infest and subvert the tribal region, Balochistan and destabilize Pakistan in general,” Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was “playing with the truth and is brazenly lying” to President Obama in regard to Pakistan’s aid to terrorists in Kashmir.

The Frontier Post editorial says in part:

“Just as Indian Prime Minister Singh arrived for a state visit and a massive propaganda offensive against Pakistan, it should come as no surprise that after a two-day visit to Islamabad, CIA chief Leon Panetta stopped off in New Delhi to huddle in the closets of India’s intelligence bosses before heading home. After all, the CIA and RAW [Research and Analysis Wing] are partners in a joint venture to infest and subvert the tribal region, Balochistan and destabilize Pakistan in general.”

“These freedom-demanding Kashmiris are no terrorists. They’re battling for their right to self-determination, mandated by no less than the U.N. Security Council. In order to suppress their legitimate struggle and savage them into surrender and servitude, India has unleashed three army corps comprising over 700,000 troops, all ordered to shoot to kill. Indian forces have slaughtered 100,000 Kashmiris. … In its alpha-interrogation centers there, the Indian army perfected its torture methods on Kashmiri youth – some 10,000 of them missing for years and believed tortured to death by their interrogators.

“India is meticulously working on a game plan to portray Pakistan as a terrorist state. Due to the inaction of Pakistan’s leadership, New Delhi is succeeding. Islamabad had better wake up and realize what’s cooking.”

Just as Indian Prime Minister Singh arrived for a state visit and a massive propaganda offensive against Pakistan, it should come as no surprise that after a two-day visit to Islamabad, CIA chief Leon Panetta stopped off in New Delhi to huddle in the closets of India’s intelligence bosses before heading home. After all, the CIA and RAW [Research and Analysis Wing] are partners in a joint venture to infest and subvert the tribal region, Balochistan and destabilize Pakistan in general. This they have accomplished by funneling heaps of weapons and cash along with infiltrators from Afghanistan in order to assassinate militants and insurgents in Swat, the tribal areas and Balochistan.

Arondhati Roy also writes nobly of the Kashmiri struggle for those interested.

What gets stirred up in me when I read this is not the specifics of the situation although alarming enough, but the negative labeling of the actual freedom fighters as terrorists, and the helplessness likely felt by both airline passengers labeled as such, academics not allowed to visit in the USA, and whole countries condemned to pariah status. In the meantime any one who cares to point out the state terrorism of Israel and the USA, the former more locally, the latter more globally– are thought of as way left of the ever moving center, now located somewhere in the rightest hinterlands.

Too bad, since the Indians have all those extra weapons, they couldn’t do better than the WWII bolt-action rifles that a NPR report mentioned, for upgraded security at the Mumbai railroad station. In the report, the Indian spokesman stated that most police did not have firearms a year ago.
    Hmmmm.

India needs to broken up… it is not a viable country. There are over 7 different rebellions ongoing in various parts of South Asia.

    South Asians are NOT Indians.

South Asians are Tamils, Bengalis, Punjabis but not Indians.

There was no such thing as India until 1947 – when the British created it out of thin air.

The British split Punjab in two.

Bengal got splintered into 8 parts.

The Tamils were deceived into believing they were “Indians”.

Kashmir is divided into 3 parts.

There is no such thing as India.

    Freedom for South Asians!
