Danes Advised Not To Travel To Muslim Countries

Denmark acted on Monday to calm Muslim indignation at a new series of cartoons ridiculing the Prophet Mohammad and advised its citizens against traveling to the Middle East as Islamic leaders condemned the drawings.
Muslim anger was roused when a public Danish television station aired amateur video footage showing members of the youth wing of the anti-immigrant Danish People’s Party (DPP) taking part in a competition to draw images mocking the Prophet at a summer camp in August.

The ministry issued a strong advisory to Danes against travel to the Gaza Strip and cautioned against travel to Israel and the West Bank, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey.“A militant group in Gaza has made threats against Danes in the Palestinian areas in connection with the (cartoon) matter on October 9,” the advisory said. “We urge Danes to use caution as the matter could lead to negative reactions.”

I’m amazed the Danes didn’t already have a travel advisory for Iraq and Afghanistan!
The Muslim leaders say they want people to “respect” , but they lie. Any fool knows that when you impose behaviour by fear you will never be respected, only feared. They just want everyone to shut up and obey, whether we actually agree with them in our hearts is secondary, I think.
In Spain we’re having a problem with our “Moros y Christianos” (Moors and Christians) festivals. For those who don’t know, a good proportion of Spain was occupied by the Moors for Islam800 years, no less. This occupation ended with the Reyes Católicos, Isabel and Ferdinand (or however you write it in English) and a fierce military campaign right about the time of Columbus. It was called the Reconquista (which incidentally, I’ve always found amusing, being that it had been EIGHT HUNDRED years). Every year in places across Spain the battles are commemorated with big mock battles in costume; triumphant Christians and retreating Moors. In many places the thing ends by blowing up a mock head of Mohammed. We are not a subtle people. The festival is veeery old. Now one mayor has decided to self censor the exploding head bit. An Imam of one city (who never had a word of complaint before) has now called for the whole festivity to be cancelled for “sensitivity”. Sound familiar? And the worst part is that the government just looooves to take the PC side, no matter how ridiculous it is for the rest of us.
Frankly, I’d advise any westerner about the dangers of travelling to Muslim countries at this point.
