And so can violating a court order related to it.

  1. Can someone really call me a clueless simpleton and get away with it?

I appreciate your’re pointing this out Mr.Gandelman. Its an interesting issue in its own right. Free speech and the internet. I, for one, feel there should be controls.

Unfortunately its quite clear there is very little being done when you take into consideration the tens of thousands of “derogatory” blog comments made daily. Manipulation of your property,(blog), is your right. I’m sure you exercise it.

Now stalking, that’s a different matter. Rolling around in the dirt with an antagonist on a blog site is one thing, physical safety is quite another. Stalking means somebody’s brain is bent and it will quickly bring out the law. It doesn’t take much contemplation to realize that one’s personal safety starts with one’s right to self defense.

Lets not ignore that the warrent was for not showing up to court. It was not because of blog postings except that it was claimed that some blog postings violated a restraining order. Now showing up to court would of been the way to resolve those issues.

That and there’s a difference between derogatory statements (“U r idiotz!”) and what Frisch did. The former is simply defamation or libel, and might be considered hard to prove even as such.

Threatening sexual abuse and death against a young child are a whole different matter. You don’t joke about that stuff.

Above all it shows even though we do have free speech it carry’s with it responsiblity. Her responsiblity was to show up in court, she did not, she gets what she deserves now.

Maybe she should check herself into a rehab clinic. Seems that’s new century way to duck personal responsiblity. She can say the alcohol made her do it and that she really really loves kids.

  6. Pyst says:

Yeah this is twisted stuff here, and should be treated as it was, and with a heavy hand by the law.

Ya know as much as I get worked up I can’t see how someone could get to that level.

Gatt and I have our spats but if I ran into gatt I would have a beer with him, or whatever was available (but I’m partial to Newcastle if you read this gatt ;) ) and have a civil chat regardless how our stances differ. Of course we’d prolly bitch about eachothers views but I’d imagine we can get over that and agree to disagree LOL.

  7. C Stanley says:

It’s hard to imagine how people can hate that much.

And Pyst, save me a seat at pour me a cold one, will ya?

  8. Pyst says:

    You dig the Newcastle too???

Best beer in the world if ya ask me. :)
