Very well said, Jack. I’m a contemporary of yours (I’ll see 42 next January) and I’ve also had one of those years (ironically, I lost my dad and gained a spouse the same year also- but for me this occurred at the age of 26). A series of profound experiences in close proximity to each other is quite life-changing; the ground literally seems to shift underneath you and you can never look at life the same way again.
