Congressional Blogs

Political Insider reports:

435 More Blogs
…The Committee on House Administration announced that it is making software available to allow congressmen to create their own blogs on the official House of Representatives servers.

I am looking forward to putting the blogs of the Leadership and Committee Chairman into my blog aggregator. I like getting my information closer to the source.

Almost in bed, just one last update from the polls:
TMC leads 2591 vs. 2324! Hooray!

And I now understand where all this love comes from: Not only Ezra Klein and Jessica @ feministing.com push for you, you also have an endorsement from Atrios. Heyho, let’s go!

Members of Congress blogging? I wonder how many extra staffers they’ll have to employ as ghost writers and how much that’ll cost taxpayers?

(Sorry, Paul, that damn cynical streak keeps cropping up.)

    I know you are teasing.
But here is an interesting website that shows the staff and payroll of congressman.

    Whoa Nelly!

Do they realize what they are getting themselves into?

However I would like to argue with Sam Brownback. I know this guy enough to know that his debatable depth and substance is about as thick as a wet paper sack. Even if he puts ten staffers between him and the keyboard.

Where is the public outrage and comtemp for congrss as the vote themselves a big pay raise, while they urge the unions and indivicuals taxpayers to cut back?

  6. jnrea says:

Where is the president's promise to eliminate earmarks? Where is the integrity of congress to help cut costs? Someone needs to be held responsible for etting all of our taxpayers' money go without oversight, accountability and responsibility managing its use. Is it any wonder that the genral public is outraged and disgusted with the arrogane and self-serving attitudes of our so-called leaders. What can we of the public do to hae them clean up their act and give priority to doing what is right for the country, not the individual who is solely oncerned with his/her reelection.
