Choices.
In commemoration of the events on September 11, 2001, on ABC the network has chosen to show a fictionalized version of the events leading to September 11, 2001, a narrative that was allowed to be previewed almost solely by advocates of the right-wing (and mainly Republican cheerleaders), approximately two months before the next election.
In commemoration of the events on September 11, 2001, on CBS the network has chosen to show a narrative based upon a compilation of interviews along with film shot by two documentary filmmakers who were following a rookie in the New York City Fire Department for almost a year before the terrorist attacks, including footage shot in the World Trade Center after the planes hit the buildings.
Who made each program?
What motivated the choices made regarding what to broadcast?
What did you choose to view?
Which do you think is better for our nation to view, to analyze, to consider, and to remember?
Why do you think that?
Once we stop questioning, we have given up our humanity, our reasoning, our rights.
I don’t ask you to think exactly as I do, quite the contrary, I ask you to think for yourself, and never let someone else do the thinking for you.

oooo
Freud take notice.
I shall be doing neither of the above. I have picked out a movie to watch that promises to be high on the violence scale, blood will certainly be present. There is the possibility of a gratuitous sex scene. Although I doubt it, and certainly did not pick out the movie hoping for one. No children are present to watch said movie. I may even put the pets in a different room.
I shall also stick something resembling a dinner into the microwave and with reckless abandon – cook on the high level.
I may even pour a smidgen of Whiskey.
Probably stay up later than I should for a work night (being the complete party animal the above must present). Coffee is my friend.
WHERE ARE THE FALLEN TOWERS???

I watched the NFL game instead.
i have to work on 9/11….i wont be watching anything….but i will say a prayer
I watched Cheney on MSNBC’s repeat of “Meet the Press”. It was probably mostly lies, but at least no writer placed them in his mouth when he had never said them in the first place!
History Channel: subject Vlad Dracul, and channel surfing without entering the ABC channel on my remote the whole night.
Last night was one of the British “mystery movies” from the Midsomer Murders series on the Biography Channel. Tonight will probably be a Poirot movie I recorded on the DVR a week ago or so. I don’t need reminders. I was getting ready for work when the first plane hit and my wife yelled to turn on the news on the TV in my home office (I was getting my cell phone out of there.). Then the second plane hit. Forget that day? Never. Need to know more than my already extensive reading and watching has told me? Not really necessary. I certainly don’t need to watch the ABC fiasco.
I originally had no intention of watching it, but given the widespread calls for its suppression, I’m tempted to do so out of spite for the censors. Sadly, though, I really don’t think it will be ineresting enough to warrant my time.
