UPDATED: Conference Call with Rep. Steve Israel (D-NY)

Today I participated in an hour-long NJDC-sponsored conference call with US Representative Steve Israel (Democrat, NY-02). Other participants included Jeff Hauser and Rebecca Murow of the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC), Judith Weiss & Van Wallach from Kesher Talk, Mik Moore from Jspot, Irina Tsukerman from The J Blogosphere, David Honig from The Daily Pulse, Steven Weiss from Canonist and Jennifer Siegel from The Forward‘s Campaign Confidential.

I appreciated being able to personally thank Rep. Israel for his leadership on protecting the US military from unwanted proselytization. I was also able to ask questions about US foreign aid to Israel and other countries and the ROI (return on investment) received.

Rep. Israel has his own blog and will also be blogging at NJDC’s Blog. He asks us to review and comment on his Energy Security Policy.
