I guessed Joni Mitchell. Googled and found it to be Carole King.

I guess you've never heard Joni Mitchell's voice. She and Carole King do not sound at all alike.
It has been decades since I've listened to Joni Mitchell. As the bard said, “Listening to Joni Mitchell is better than smoking grass.”
And I am not at all familiar with Carole King.
