Horray for that Hollywood. I wouldn't let my dog walk the streets of our current Hollywood.
It may have been nice once, but yeah, the physical place is even more run down than the California budget. The emotional place is starting to lose some luster too, sadly.

It was no better when I lived in the Basin in the later 80s and early 90s.
Hollywood the Real is so much different than Hollywood the Myth. Runaways and street people and petty criminals on the worn-down streets with a lot of run-down buildings is different than paradise full of movie stars.
Sunset Boulevard is far from the glamourous myth it's reputed to be, along its entire length, either.
