man, i've been saying this since he hit the headlines. the guy's from Massachusetts. of course he's gonna be more left than most (R)s. they all blissfully ignored his tolerance of certain reasons for abortion…
although i am enjoying the deliciousness of this little development mirroring the rabid right's detachment from reality…
6: It's a tax cut bill. Republicans think tax cuts are, like, the best thing evah. It should be surprising to exactly nobody that a Republican would vote for this. The real question: why did only 5 Republicans vote for cloture on these tax cuts? (We all know the answer.)
Yeh, he's a wolf in sheep's clothes and he led the other four sheep into the abyss. The other sheep were too busy counting Dems jumping over the fence and missed their chance.
Reasons 3, 4 and 5 don't even qualify for the contest…….how on earth do 3 liberals have any legitimate claim to insight?
Since I at least qualified for a thank you note from the guy, I'll suggest it is something akin to #2.
And if you have to go into the mountains of West Virginia to find someone upset with Scott Brown at this point…….you've hardly found a potent wedge issue.
The actual litmus test for my theory on #6 will be if prominent GOP heads like Limbaugh, Boehner and Cheney or Palin come out on MSM at primetime on their channel [Fox] and fiercely denounce Brown's jumping ship.
Anything less than that will be their stamp of approval on his jumping ship. Think about it…. potshots from bloggers against Brown don't count for diddly. This has to come from upper management..
None of the above, although #2 is closest. The guy simply knows his constituency. It's Mayhewian to the core. To that end, he needs to solidify himself up as a blue-state moderate (the way Romney did). Otherwise, he will be known as the one-term senator from Massachusetts.
I like all five.
Reason #6: He is being groomed for the old trojan horse role previously occupied by McCain.
The obvious answer is to get to the other side!
I like all 5 as well dduck12

Because he hates the American people and wants to ram things down their throat.
I'm agreeing with Casualobserver, I too think it's option 2.
I'll try to find the Twitter feed about this vote, there was a whole bunch of anger from the right toward Sen Brown yesterday.

“We all know the answer.”
Yep. We can get modern about it, with economics (pun intended, in Roro's case below).
The answer is: Because he had the incentive to do it.
“It's a tax cut bill.”
There's your incentive.
Correct, CO…and you should know on this one.
Nooo….
To get from the left to the right. (actually right to left)
He stepped out of rank, got hit by a tank.
He ain't no Scott Brown no more.
Still waiting for a woodshed spanking from Limbaugh, Boehner, and the like. Not heard it yet.
Makes me wonder..
Maybe they think that if Dems can win with a 1 term Senator…so can they?
Brown 2012….hey, he isn't mormon!
“Makes me wonder…”
If your gods have abandoned you? Not suprising.
