So How Are White House Press Secretary Tony Snow and His Crew Doing?

Did Snow tackle his maiden press conference well? Has he made changes or are there some he can make? Has he said anything that gives an inkling into how the press will be treated or a greater clarification of American policy and how the Bush administration operates?

There are lots of questions….and blogger/journalism professor Jay Rosen gives you his take here. (We won’t quote it because it would take too much stuff out of context).

So we’re to be led to the impression, based on the ultra left wing biased “Washington Post”, that the GOP is going to lose control of the House and the Senate in 2006. Gee, if it comes from the W.P., then I’m convinced!

“Yours truely” and I aren’t travelling in the same circles, because I don’t know a single Republican who has indicated anything but support for President Bush.

It’s easy for “yours truely” to make a statement such as GOPer’s are going to make protest votes against their lifelong party as a statement against President Bush yet not back it up with verifiable quotes or proof for his rantings.

Here’s a good one for you all…most of the people I’ve talked to in my travels across the country prefer corned beef hash over biscuits and gravy. I don’t have anything to back that up, but since I wrote it down it must be true, so believe me when I tell you, it’s so.

Well, gee, you need to notify all of the pollsters because some Republicans are giving really bad information. Rassmusssen. Gallup. Harris. They all must be RINOs. And, also, I never realized that on weblogs writers can’t make statements that aren’t footnoted. Be sure to let Powerline know, will you? Also, let the Republicans who have talked to political writers and expressed fears about Republicans losing suppport from the basae in 2006 know that their polls are falacious and were based on talking to Democrats PRETENDING to be Republicans.

Yes, indeed. When you start out blasting the Washington Post as left biased and give a lecture like that it somehowlooses a little of its steam. It sort of gives the idea that you have a very specific political axe to grind. Here’s an idea: Why don’t you first demand the SAME STANDARDS of documentation from Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity AND progressive talk show hosts, all political columnists, mosts journalists, blogs of ALL ideological persuasions and authors who make statements that aren’t footnoted, people on cable news and talk shows, etc. I suspect it’s a standard only applied when you don’t like what someone said — which contrary to your opinion doesn’t really mean that person is trying to score a political point but actually reporting what his experience is. Thanks for spotting the typo. You make a much better proofreader than journalism professor.

    Real Republican-
Not to sound intolerant of the range of opinions out there, but you don’t really speak with much of a “Moderate Voice”.
If you mosey on over to “Blogs for Bush”, you’ll find plenty of like-minded folks, who don’t like to litter their opinions with too many facts that just clutter up one’s mind. At “Blogs for Bush” no one really believes any of these pesky polls are accurate, or that the Republicans willbe in real trouble, once House Republicans trot out the gay marriage amendment!
