Considering the target of the joke is pretty darn offensive, and lacks tact in how she targets people. Yes it was funny, and offensive, but she is a worthy target of the joke. Much like the never ending, and very tired Clinton jokes the right marches out as if they are somehow still funny after the 1000′th telling.
Stan Laurel is just plain goofy, but not funny unless you have a 1920′s funny bone. Not that it’s a bad thing, just a bit dated. I guess my sense of humor is like a grenade being rolled into a room full of PC tightwads tho.
The Ping-Pong ball comment is extremely offensive. The rest is, well, hackneyed and unfunny.

Wonkette and Malkin take themselves WAY too seriously to be really funny. I agree with Gandelman…somehow, Stan Laurel is funnier.
