    The track is dangerous. They've had other serious accidents. They need to re-evaluate how people qualify for this event. The track is made for elite sliders…not the guys from cool running.

    1. There has been a luge death before.

    2. What's interesting is that there really is such a thing in competition as a track being “too fast.” This has been true with auto racing (with the vehicles as well as with the tracks that permit speeds so high that safety is imperiled even among the world's most expert operators) for years, and Talladega is a NASCAR track that is known precisely for this danger.

    3. This track is known for being fast.
